Troupe leader and founder of Pink Velvet Burlesque Miss C got her start in burlesque with the Halifax Burlesque Society in 2004. She has been performing nonstop ever since her debut she and has become completely and utterly enamored with the art of golden era burlesque. Known for retro inspired burlesque acts as well as her go-go dancing antics, Miss C enchants audiences with her old school charm and "pinup girl" image. Whether twirling her tassels in a show stopping act to make anyone’s jaw drop or licking the last of the cream from her kitty bowl, Miss C is sure to shimmy her way into your heart!

Oliver Hugh is the boi that carries the books of Pink Velvet Burlesque. This little county town boi found his fasination with burlesque through the Halifax Burlesque Society when first moving to Halifax in 2004. With just enough taste of burlesque after the Society folded, he continued on various stages in the big city just trying to catch a glimps of what he was all about. It wasn't until he was approached by Miss C to form what is now Pink Velvet Burlesque, that he realized exactly what it is that he can do best, which is a little bit of everything! With his King antics to early side show half and half bi-gender acts, Oliver Hugh is a spontanious, high energy, doesn't- always-have-reason kind of performer.

Rouge has been in Halifax since 2002 performing comedy and imersonations, as well as the resident host of the Pink Velvet Burlesque. Mena Von Fleisch was born of both German and French Canadian decent on stage at her first ever performance with Pink Velvet Burlesque in 2006. A fiend for imagination, Mena is always adding to, and adapting her acts, enticing and ensnaring her audiences over and over again. Whether taking a tour of duty as the whip cracking, ass smacking, she wolf dictator of the Satanic Army, or grinding potential suitors to a meal prepared to whet the appetite of even the most particular “man eater”; Mena delights in entertaining and made a name for herself as the purrfect mix of sass and class!

Whether dancing with fire, swinging on the trapeze, or bending her body in strange and unusual ways, you’re in for an energetic act full of style and lust.

Indie is a man's man, ladies man, man about town, and the only son of Elvis. Performing burlesque in Halifax since 2003, she’s fresh back from women's prison and ready for her all Canadian tour. Indie can make the ordinary extraordinary with her subtle and often not-so-subtle physical comedy and sexual innuendo. Central to Indie’s acts is a mix of blatant gender bending and queer comedic delivery. She will work for maple syrup or... beavertail o

Slow, odd, sardonic…Chainsaw Lover began performing burlesque with the Halifax Burlesque Society in 2003. Most often Chainsaw Lover builds a character around the spiritual advice of her dead musicians of choice. Her work remains sort of a pantomime, using the relation of her elfin limbs to surrounding space and props (i.e. bananas, body bags, oversized tools, etc.); creating a sexually absurd comedy. Chainsaw Lover has performed with Pink Velvet Burlesque since their first show in April of 2006. Nobody’s fool, she can sling a banana in a heart beat!

Back when he was a wee baby lad, Constable Tootsie was discovered on the steps of Normandy ladies Senior Center in Yorkshire, England. There he was raised until the age of 25 on buttered biscuits and tea and trained in the arts of etiquette and knitting. Tootsie learned from his many sweet mothers that the real world was nasty place with teenage gangs totting machine guns, alcoholic school children lurking in alleys to mug the elderly, high speed drag races on the streets and side walks, computers with brains of rapist murderers, and genetically altered giant chickens. Wielding a might not unlike that of an irritable old woman, Tootsie dedicated himself to a life of police enforcement. The old ladies however did not prepare him for one thing….the disorienting power of beautiful young burlesque ladies!

Kay Licious is a classic performer with a sexy modern twist. A sultry song here, a tantalizing tease there, with this curvy temptress you never know what delicious treat she’ll offer up next! Kay Licious has been with Pink Velvet Burlesque since April of 2006.

Mz. Cock-Tail and her burlesque partner Libercotchy, enthrall audiences with their storytelling. Utilizing overtly theatrical direction, a skilled background in movement, dance and improvisational collaboration, they strive to achieve a high caliber of satirical social commentary through the guise of burlesque.

"Misses Delcious"

This minx is a west-coast import - a fine lady who appreciates fine things. She is 1 part domestic diva, 1 part drunken tart and all sauce. Spoiled, brazen and over-indulged, Creme de la Femme is a queer femme princess to be reckoned with...and oh how she loves to be reckoned with!

Libercrotchie was born under a grand piano in "Gay Paris". Weaned on Flaxseeds and PowerSmoothies; he spent his formative years emulating the Go-Go Boys of the Moulin District; honing his dance skills and waiting for his chance to shine. Traveling to Halifax via Hot Air Balloon, he was introduced to Mz. Cock Tail by a Tarot Card Reader who said "You must join forces, and through the power of Burlesque; enlighten and entertain as many as you can. Then open a smoothie bar." Following through on half of the prophesy, Libercrotchie and Mz Cock Tail have been delighting audiences with their unique abilities as performers since 2003. They were delighted in 2006 when the Pink Velvet Burlesque Troupe blew into town in a freak tornado. Pop satire, sexuality and (sometimes) silliness all infuse their work with excitement and relevance.
